Issue 9: The Spring Cleaning Issue (and a message from the Birds' Nest)

Thank you. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. This is not the end -- WE WILL BE BACK!! But for now, thank you so much for submitting to the Spring Cleaning issue, and to the 8 issues that came before it. Birdbath began as a pipe dream -- three film majors trying to justify their insatiable need to be annoying on the internet about the media that they love. It was a text, then a Google doc, then an empty Blogger site... then, all of a sudden, it was flooded with submissions from all across our tiny little community of college students.
This little magazine took on a life of its own faster than any of us could have imagined, and we’re so grateful to everyone who’s participated. Whether you’re a frequent submitter, a one-hit wonder, or just an occasional reader -- even if you found us by mistake because we wrote about a band you like -- you’re the reason we’ve been able to keep this up for 9 issues. On top of writing our theses and pursuing countless other creative and professional endeavors of our own, we keep coming back because you keep coming back.
To celebrate the end of Birdbath’s first season of publication, we’ve compiled all 9 of our current issues into a massive, comprehensive print magazine. Nestled within these pages are the impassioned writings of a vast flock of contributors, some from within a five-mile radius and some from as far away as the UK. Maybe even YOU! You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll cringe, you might even learn a thing or two. Or maybe not. We don’t really care.
Either way, we can promise you this: Everything in this magazine was written with love, care, and compassion. Birdbath is a community of people who love things. You can feel it in every page. We hope you enjoy. We'll be printing them next week, and we'll have them in our hands soon after. If you've ever submitted anything to Birdbath, YOU'RE IN HERE (and we'll save you a copy)!
